Weathering the Coronavirus with Beef Stew

As part of my semi-surreal grocery store run over the weekend, I picked up a lot of ingredients for meals that will last us a few days. One of our favorites is a beef stew (which we have with rice) that lasts nearly a full work week. With us being at home more (and going out less), this seemed like a good thing to prep.

It’s a slow cooker meal, meaning it’s got to sit on “low” for about 8 hours. This morning, I needed to be online to help verify/test a significant deployment for our team… and that kicked off at 8:00 AM. So to have enough time to prep and get our meal started, I began cooking around 6:30 AM.

Working from home, especially during an epidemic, is kind of weird.
