Newly Taped Dining Room

Photos from yesterday, including some shots of our newly taped dining room.

While there are some areas that are still wavy, the taper really did “hide our sins” in terms of some of the gaps and differences between our boards.

It’s weird to see walls again here, and in many ways… it feels like the room has gotten smaller!

A big patch area in the ceiling, where we had a lot of repair work.

Bob was over today, helping frame out a temporary door to the basement.

An interesting thing I learned about some of our older doors: they use two barrel hinges. While more modern doors have a pin and three or four barrels, these were just two (and the pins were built in to the hinges themselves).
