Which Switch?

Bit the bullet and got myself a switch tester. I’ve been noodling around the idea of getting a mechanical keyboard lately, and given how much time I’m now spending in front of a screen… it felt like time.

Maybe I’m just trying to switch things up (see what I did there)? Maybe I just want a small change to my work routine, just so I can feel alive.

I’m fortunate enough to be able to still have a job during this pandemic, and doubly fortunate to be able to do that work from home, safely and remotely. And count that a third time, for being in a financial position where I can afford to shell out money for a luxury like this, in a time when others are struggling financially.

I have a hard time pulling the trigger on “expensive” items. And to me, that line kicks in around $40 for something as basic as a video game. So I expect I’m going to do more research and go down a lot of rabbit holes on this one.

I like the sound of the blue and green, but those are out given that I’ll likely drive Liz crazy with them. Was originally leaning towards the Brown, but now seem to have more of a preference for the Red (and also the Silent Red). And from time to time, the Black seems like a potential candidate.

Haven’t really tried out the O-rings yet really, which feels like another level of decision making. Expect to have a lot of reading up to do.
