Chris Stapleton: Daddy Doesn’t Pray Anymore
I’m not sure just when I happened across Chris Stapleton. I liked a random song I heard, and added an album of his to my Spotify account.
I’m not a big country fan, but Stapleton’s voice and stories I find compelling. And over the last week or so, I’ve started to listen to a bit more of his music.
Daddy don’t pray anymore
I guess he’s finished talking to the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
But daddy don’t pray anymore
I guess he’s finished talking to the lord
He used to fold his hands and bow his head down to the floor
But daddy don’t pray anymore
I like the slow progression of the lyrics from the title, leading you slowly to the realization at the end of the song.
I’ve been surprised how much I do like Stapleton’s music, and continue to find more songs I gravitate towards.
