A Special Bottle

Liz got a special bottle delivered today, worthy of noting: Glenmorangie’s Signet.

She first encountered this at a Women Who Whiskey event, several months back. I got to hear all about it, and the various other Glenmorangie offerings that the group got to sample.

Signet stood out for her, and was something she really was keen on.

The packaging itself is pretty stellar. All we did was just admire the bottle, as I think this is definitely one of those rare bottles that’s only going to get broken out for special events.

We both had some Signet at our anniversary dinner last year. I enjoyed it, but I could tell even then that Liz was really enamored with it. Small wonder we ended up with a bottle, some months later.

A thing I didn’t know: Glenmorangie apparently huts down their normal production for a month, just so that they can distill Signet. That’s a pretty impressive commitment.

We really need to start working on some kind of whisky display shelf/storage area soon. Like, seriously.
