Attempted Oil Change

Spent some time today, trying to get an old power washer in the garage up and running again. It had been fixed a while ago, but I think it’s been sitting around for a bit… and I was having trouble getting it started.

I tried all manner of things. Changed the oil, made sure the filters were clear/clean. And also tried using some starter fluid (something I hadn’t done before).

The kicker: I was able to get it going for about a second or two, with the starter fluid. But then it immediately died. No amount of fiddling with the choke could keep it going for more than a few seconds.

I felt close, but ultimately couldn’t get it to work. Pretty frustrating. I feel like if I had just a bit more mechanical know-how, I could probably get it going. But the most I got was a few quick moments, before it died.
