A Long Afternoon, Hanging Out in the Kitchen

No actual photos from today. We had a lazy morning, then met up with Tricia over at Jenny and Gil’s house, in Wicker Park.
It ended up being a kind of informal hanging out there, witt Katie and Tim showing a bit later. It was incredibly kind and gracious for Jenny/Gil to host Tricia and everyone else, and we just more or less hung out in their kitchen the whole afternoon.
For an impromptu get-together, we were really spoiled (Jet’s pizza for dinner, and a whole tray of untouched/leftover Tiramisu from Publican).
I chatted a good while with Tim, Gil and his brother Asa… and got into some interesting discussions and family stories. While the sisters were catching up with Jenny, I also got the chance to try out Gil’s Apple Vision Pro.
I can see the attraction, in terms of entertainment (movies and interactive games in particular). I’m not yet sold on this being a Productivity tool, but I’m betting Apple will just get better over time.
Still – I was and am intrigued. I’m already a misanthropic person by nature, so I’m not sure a VR device that pushes me away from humans is the best idea. But here we are.
Another slow day, another chance to catch up with friends and family.
