Christmas in Chicago with the Holders

After Christmas in Indy yesterday, we trekked home so that we could be back in Chicago for another event-filled day.

The Holders were away on a travel vacation over Christmas proper, but flew back in to Chicago yesterday. And so we made plans to hang out, and to have a late birthday dinner/celebration for Kirt.

After showing folks around our house (and our newly updated floors)… we decided on something for our afternoon: mini-golf.

After our recent adventures with Top Golf, this ended up being a theme it seems. I remain saddened that we don’t have a Puttshack within the city of Chicago (despite the fact that their Corporate Headquarters are located downtown).

We settled on Puttery for our outing.

Jackson, doing his best impression of Paul Simonon.

Midway through our course, we got a surprise visit: Tricia flew in! Liz and I knew what was going on, but it was a surprise for everyone else.

We got some folks walking by to help take a full group photo.

A brief while later, we all reconvened at The Chicago Firehouse.

Post-dinner, indulging in some serious desserts.

The Holder kids!

It was lovely to be able to spend time with everyone, and to have schedules and flights and timings all align.
