Bonding Resumed

We’ve had a rough patch, in terms of Hugo and Penny bonding. While we had some positive interactions, we’ve also had a few negative ones.
They tend to occur when, to be honest, Penny just kind of freaks out. She’s a super young bunny, and still seems a little skittish. So when they’re in the same pen together, sometimes she’ll just up and start running around.
Hugo generally is non plussed. But in a few occasions, he’s gotten a little aggressive.
Penny, for her part, is an odd bird. She seems to have this thing for Hugo’s butt, and will charge at his butt when he’s not paying attention. I’m not sure what that’s about.
In one of their last (bad) interactions, everyone got a little energetic, and Hugo lost some tufts of fur.
Since then, Liz has sat with the two of them – opting for neutral sessions. Instead of ending the sessions on a positive interaction, she’s been focusing on just having them together in the same space. Together, calm, and neutral for the win.
Here’s hoping they continue the good trend.
