A Rainy Commute

We had a lot of rain overnight, and this was what I encountered on my way to the Metra stop. The water was so bad on this side of the street, I had to walk to the other side just to cross.

Fun tidbit: a large city dumptruck didn’t see me, and nearly ran me over as I crossed. And after it passed by, another truck (that was turning left) also almost hit me, since its view was blocked by the city truck.

This kind of thing didn’t happen, when my commute was just from my bed to my desk.
