Though we just got back from Scotland, there was a Drammers event that featured a distillery that Liz is fond of: Ardnamurchan. So we signed up and headed out to join some fellow whisky lovers for a Chicago tasting.
That’s… a lot of bottles. In addition to offerings from Arran, tonight we were also able to try out several bottles from Lagg (a recent/new distillery from Arran, that was built on the south side of the Isle of Arran).
Tonight, we got to sample a bottle from DCS Chapter 4, a 26 year old that was aged in an European Oak Oloroso Puncheon. During this tasting, we heard a few numbers bandied about – and the estimate was that this bottle alone would cost about $2,000.
