Dave Fischoff: Video for Small Drifts
Dave just recently got a video made of one of his songs, Small Drifts, from his recent album The Crawl.
Dave’s a friend of mine, and I’m a huge fan of his work. If you haven’t yet heard his stuff, check out his MySpace page or, better yet, his personal site where his entire album is streamed.
Here’s Dave talking a bit about his video:
Hi all!
I’m very excited to say that I just posted a brand new video on my Myspace page and it’s yours for the viewing if you’d like to stop by for a visit. It’s for the song “Small Drifts” from my new album The Crawl, and the visuals are made up almost entirely of Super-8 footage my grandfather Joseph Fischoff shot in the 1940s and 1950s.
The Super-8 film was captured digitally and edited together by L.A. filmmaker Sean U’Ren, who I think did a fantastic job of matching the visuals with the rhythm and tone of the song.
I’m hoping to meet up with Dave this weekend, and seeing if we can’t get a higher-res version of his video uploaded to YouTube. I think we might be able to sharpen things up a bit, and get a fancier version for sharing.
