Humanae: Portraits of People Matched to Their Pantone Colors
In a project called Humanae, artist Angélica Dass matches photographs of people with their Pantone colors – making for a really interesting gallery.
There’s a certain coldness with the Pantone colors, as though each individual could be reduced to a specific sequence of numbers and letters. But on the flip side, the repetition of the portraits (and the close proximity of some of the colors) suggests how similar we all are. In fact, it seems to suggest that those differences are subtle, minute.
