Message From Above

There’s been a note, printed onto the side of a bridge at East 47th – right off of South Lake Park Avenue. I’ve seen it there a few times as I’ve driven by, but it’s too small to read while driving. I’ve told Liz about it, but it’s really small and easy to miss.

Today, Liz happened to be driving and I remembered. And so I got my camera out and snapped a quick photo as we passed.

Turns out, I was too late to capture it. Seems as though part of the message got removed.

Interestingly enough, when I zoomed in on my photo… I saw another message scrawled on the other side: “Goodbye, Tomorrow.” Which is a kind of sad thing to read on a bridge.

With today being New Year’s Eve, I’d rather read that message as a kind of delayed promise, saving goodbyes for the next day. And then, perhaps, the day after. And the day after that.

See you all tomorrow.
