Hop Along: Somewhere a Judge

So I know I mentioned Hop Along a few days ago, but I came across another of their songs… and this one I’ve really gotten obsessed with. It’s “Somewhere a Judge,” and I’ve been looping this one over and pathologically over, again and again.

The big draw for me is the main chorus. On first listen, I thought the quick notes were all keyboard – but I think after watching a few videos it’s all guitar. It’s a great moment in the song, and what really keeps drawing me back, I think:

The group does a great job performing live, but I included the track from the album as that’s what caught my ear originally.
