The Cheese Lady

On the day we went to the Muskegon Farmers Market, we also ended up stopping at The Cheese Lady.

I’d be here once before, with Kirt… but it was the first time Liz had visited. During that time, we tried out several cheeses, and there was one in particular that she really liked – a blue cheese that had bits of lemon in it.

On tasting it, the term “dessert cheese” made a lot more sense. It was so good, Liz insisted that we stop on our way home. So stop we did. For some quality dessert cheese.

In the parking lot. It’s worth noting that The Cheese Lady has several locations, and the one we visited was in Muskegon.

Inside view.

Near the counter, looking at the impressive menu. Everyone we spoke with was very well versed in their wares, and we got a lot of good recommendations.

Fast forward a bit later, to a rest stop in south Michigan. I read the signs wrong, and ended up parking our car in the “truck” section. I took this photo to document my shame.

A random photo inside the Men’s room: I’ve been to my fair share of gas station bathrooms and interstate rest stops. But I can’t honestly remember the last time I went into a rest stop bathroom and found a freaking floral arrangement.

This was a small thing, but it definitely classed up the joint.
