Storm Damage, Hyde Park

I was headed to the office today. And on my way out the door, I stopped in my tracks when I saw this across the street.

We had a pretty big storm come through last night. I remember waking up hearing a lot of rain, but Liz tells me what I heard was actually wind (she woke up around the same time).

I was rushing to catch teh train, and only had time to snap a quick photo. Chatting online, later in the morning with Liz, I learned that the city actually had a crew out here by around 10AM… and were clearing things up. I was quite impressed.

On my way home, the remains of the tree. Here’s hoping it isn’t too badly hurt, and can recover.
