9K Run

Nervous. A big leap today.

I’m heading out to attempt a 9K run. To help me, I’ve put on Liz’s vest (which has a water pack), and I’m also taking along a round of snacks.

Me, looking apprehensive.

I’ve got a ziplock bag of apricots, along with some baby food. That’s right: baby food.

I’m getting a lot of guidance from Liz, on how to manage energy levels. I’m pushing past an hour, and this seems to be the point where I”m going to want a bit of fuel to keep my energy up.

I’m still very far away from marathon training, but this is definitely the biggest distance I’ve attempted so far.
