Metra Signs

Spotted a few odd signs, on my way home today. I enter Millennium Station through a less-frequented entrance, and spotted a few of these signs along the wall by the tracks.

I wasn’t sure what to make of the sign. Was it a warning? A reminder to treat everyone with respect? I couldn’t tell if this was a call to treat all passengers well, or an admonition that danger lurks everywhere… so Metra employees need to be on the guard.

As a side note: I have no idea what this machine is, in front of the sign. It looks fairly basic, but somehow seems to warrant not one but two padlocks?

A smaller sign on the wall: “Please do not put feet on the walls.”

I have no idea what this means, or who this might be for. Maybe someone meant for Abraham Lincoln to see it?
