Seventh Time’s a Charm
I was a little bummed that with our recent house night, I only got the demo part of the flooring done. I was hoping to also install plywod to cover the gap, but ran out of time.
Today, though it wasn’t on my to-do list… I opted to suit up and put a little time in the office after work.

I had a 4×8 sheet cut down to a 3′ width (this made it easier to transport in our car). The actual width here is something like 33.5″, and so I was really cautious about cutting down these boards to size. I was also doing it by hand, so it was (mostly) straight).
With the idea that I can always cut more, but cannot add material back… I was super conservative. And did a lot of dry fits.
I did a lot of dry fits. Eventually got both pieces down, fairly snugly.

An impossibly small little custom cut. Ignore that gouge nearby.
Did a bit of cleanup as well in the office. This didn’t take too long, and felt like a productive short evening. Keeping the momentum going.
