Office Drywall: Day 2

Day 2, after the drywallers were working in the office. I cannot emphasize enough how excited and giddy Liz and I were, to see the work around our turret.

A Bakers Scaffold was used, to help get higher up. But honestly, I don’t understand how this could have been enough. Did they use ladders on top of this thing? I have no idea how they got high enough.

Our request was to have the drywallers insulate the joists up here (with soundproof insulation), before putting up drywall. And we also wanted continuous lines coming down from the top.
They had to take out some of the wood spokes (in our “wagon wheel”), but somehow managed to pull this off. I honestly have no idea how they got up there, and how they made this happen.

Another photo – because I am in awe.

Tools in wait.

Progress and aftermath.
