Photos from a Morning Walk

Grabbed a few fun photos on our morning walk today.

A gate, blocking access to an apartment building.

And a morning paper, delivered. I can’t tell if this delivery is pure genius or pure laziness. Perhaps it’s both.

A nearby spot that used to be a Boston Market, but is currently under renovation. As we walked by, I noticed something with the signage.

I’m betting some school kids were goofing around, and lost this. I wonder how long it will take, until this guy comes back down.

Walking along 53rd, we spotted several buildings with a very large interface by their entrances. I’m used to Ring cameras and smaller residential devices… but this was a pretty beefy bit of electronics.

Liz boldly went up and started tapping. And triggered the camera. Somewhere, I guess, there’s a bit of video of me taking a photo of this thing (a ButterflyMX interface).

As we were headed home, we were feeling a light sprinkle of rain. Funny thing: before we left the house, I looked up the weather and saw there as a 20% chance for rain. The sky was quite overcast, so I brought an umbrella.

Liz scoffed at me. And didn’t feel an umbrella was necessary.

As we were walking, we got hit with the lightest and gentlest of rain/sprinkles. And I laughed, because it felt like there was a higher power at work – showing us that we were both right.

On our way back to the house, we spotted these two: a goose who was absolutely prepared for a rainy day, and her gnome friend who decided to just brave the elements.

Like us – quite the pair.
