Bonding, Bite
We’re finally settled back at home (after three consecutive weekends of family events, spanning four different states). And we also have the bunnies home as well. After a few days’ rest, Liz had a bonding session, and unfortunately… it did not go well.
It sounds like Hazel was a bit of an aggressor at the start. But then Hugo made an aggressive move towards Hazel – and Liz blocked it with her hand.
When this happened though, Hazel had turned around and was in attack mode – and thinking she was going after Hugo, really bit in to Liz’s hand.

She really got in there.
Liz said that Hazel was holding on pretty tight. This looked like a really bad bite (the worst I’ve ever seen from a bunny).
Despite trying to get things to a neutral place to end the session, Liz made the call to end it early. Things didn’t seem to be getting better, and she ended up calling it.
Rough time with these two bunnies. It’s very frustrating, because it’s clear that they both want a friend – and they hit things off like gangbusters when they first met.
Ah well. Here’s hoping for the next session.
