The DayQuil/NyQuil Days

I’ve been slightly sick, the last few days. It started as a slight cough on Sunday, and gradually got worse. The odd thing is, it didn’t hit all at once – this was incredibly gradual.

Monday, I sat in on some meetings in the AM. My goal was to just check in briefly, and then log off. But I ended up working longer than I intended.

Today, I took the day off to recuperate. But even with staying in bed, I ended up feeling worse at the end of the day. Even with rest, there was this very gradual increase in sickness.

While the coughing was a constant, it took me a while to recognize other symptoms. Towards the middle of the day, I kept asking myself “Do I have a fever? It kind of feels like a fever. Maybe I have a fever.”

I did, in fact, have a fever – though a slight one. Taking DayQuil to keep thing sat bay during the day time, and taking NyQuil at night so that my cough wouldn’t keep me awake.

A strange cold, this one. A slow start with some coughing, and other symptoms show up in a delayed manner. Here’s hoping it doesn’t linger.
