Then and Now: Chicago Savings Bank Building in 1904 and 2013

After finding some fantastic, old images of the Art Institute last year, I recently dug around Chicago Past and found a few photos near my current workplace.

Here’s an image of Madison, looking towards State Street. In the distance is the Chicago Savings Bank Building.

Here’s my attempt at recreating the image, trying to see if I could find the same spot where the original photograph was taken.
