Twilight Zone: “Where Is Everybody?” Plus Advertiser Pitch by Rod Serling

54 years ago today, the first episode of The Twilight Zone aired. This is the premiere episode (along with a lengthy intro/pitch by creator Rod Serling). The ending is a little shmaltzy, but hey – a paycheck’s a paycheck. I’d never really seen this kind of intro/pitch before, am I was really fascinated by it (imagining a time before the Twilight Zone was a thing).

I’m a fan of the series, thought it was always more about heartbreak than horror for me. Naturaly, one of my favorite episodes is “Time Enough at Last,” but there are so many great ones to choose from. Pretty hard to believe that this show aired over 50 years ago.
