Street Lamp
Last week, I happened across a lamp just sitting in the middle of the sidewalk in downtown Chicago. I’m used to seeing old things at the curb in the neighborhoods, but seeing this smack in the city (unattended) was interesting enough that it made me pause.
What’s even stranger? This odd note, which reads:
If you still wanted the lamp leave a note at the SAIC Sharp building front desk for Sarah with your number and we can arrange to get it back to you.
A very odd note to find, near a lamp that looked to be abandoned. Walking by, the whole scene made me think of a school kid waiting for a ride home… from someone who would never show up.
