Basement Painting is Dangerous Work
Though we were both a little tired from the work day (and were feeling 50/50 about hour “house night”), Liz and I sucked it up and suited up. We both were at work in the basement, with her painting and me clearing out the back area again.
As Liz painted, I covered up the pipes in the last unpainted area… linking the back basement to the main basement. She was applying a second coat in back, and I have to say… it looks markedly better with the second pass. It’s a pretty striking difference.
Around 7:45PM, sitting on the front porch and drinking beer… I noticed something amiss with Liz’s hair. A little distressing, but a wire brush and a shower later… and things were back to normal.
One bonus: as we were out on the porch, we happened to catch our neighbors from across the street, taking their new puppy “Ramona” out for a walk. It felt like a nice reward for our night of work.
