Slow Sunday

Slept a lot today. I normally get up around 5:30 or 6:00 AM most mornings. On the weekends, I’ll maybe, maybe sleep in until 7:30 or so. But today, I was asleep until well past 8:00 AM, which was a rarity.

Liz slept in a bit longer as well, given how dark it was outside (lots of storms in the morning, here in Chicago). I didn’t head out to get coffee and breakfast until closer to 10:00 AM, and we didn’t get to actually eating breakfast until around 10:30 AM.

We threw on a movie, ate our food, and by the time the movie ended… we felt sleepy again. And so, it being Sunday, we decided that a nap was in order.

Though for me, I ended up napping a lot. I think I slept until around 4:30 PM. Which, now that I write that out in full, seems less like a nap and more like a second full round of sleep.

Whatever the reason, I think both Liz and I needed to catch up on our sleep. I’ve got an early morning tomorrow, so I’m hopefult that my schedule isn’t too out of whack, and that I can actually fall asleep again at a reasonable hour.

It’s close to 9:00 PM now as I write this, and it feels like my Sunday just started about an hour ago. Ah well, at least I got some rest in. Really did seem like I needed it.
