Looping Happiness
Weeks later, I’ve broken free of whatever need I had to listen to Vito Bratta’s guitar solos, and have mostly phased those songs out of my morning commute.
Spotify surfaced a few “repeat” playlists for me, which made it easy to loop over a set of songs. But last week I found myself queueing up an old favorite: “Because I’m Me,” by The Avalanches.
The horns still do get me, every time. And it’s difficult to not just have an extra spring in my step, whenever I listen to this song. It would be interesting to come up with a list, but as far as this one goes: this is a song that always seems to make me feel happier, every time I listen to it.
