Late Nights

An interesting thing this week: Liz and I were both working pretty late. I kept at it well into the evening.
But the kicker to me: it’s not really that much busier this week, I don’t think. I’m not sure what it is, but more things felt like they were happenig.
A coworker mentioned that most people are finding themselve working an average of 2 more hours per day. Is this just a busy time all around? Are people getting more into the zone, and losing track of time? Are we all getting used to remote work?
I wasn’t really coding tonight, mostly handling more project planning and ticket writing, summaries of work. But it was still a lot, and it feels like it’s going around.
Maybe it was just this week and the last. It’s making me wonder how sustainable this pace is. Soon here, fairly soon I think, we’re going to need to actively figure out how to define the boundaries of the work day. I always had that struggle in the past, and it’s seemingly harder to find that line now that there is no line.
