Frances: Don’t Worry About Me
I happened across a collection on Spotify, showing songs I listened to back in 2016. For a brief period there, I was looping a song called “Don’t Worry About Me” by an artist named Frances.
Not the typical song I gravitate towards, but something about it hooked me back then. And I started listening to it again. And then went and found a few live videos, and this official music video, below.
And yes, like the Lewis Capaldi video I mentioned a while back… it seems very much designed to do exactly what you’d expect.
While the video is a bit much (and a little too on the nose for me), I did find myself thinking back to the passing of my Grandma Phoebe. And in particular, the very long night my sister and I stayed at her bedside overnight.
I had only published placeholder text and images, for a few of those days. But I did go in and write up my thoughts and comments from those days, leaving them unpublished until some future time where it felt better to make them visible.
I think this was maybe two months or so ago, when I went back in, and updated a lot of those older posts. A lot of looking back lately, it seems.
