Drams and Memory

Today, Liz and I did something that we’ve been talking about (and planning for) for a while now. Namely: to sit down, and go over all the various distilleries and bars we visited in Scotland, and look back at all the various drams we tasted/sampled.
We… did a lot. And there was an awful lot to revisit. Liz kept our receipts, and I also took some notes during our trip.

It was a fun thing to revisit, stepping through our vacation and all the various places we went. We used a mixture of receipts, notes, blog posts, and regular old memory to try to revisit the whisky we’ve tried, the ones we’ve forgotten, and the ones that still stand out to this day.
It was actually a very useful exercise (for us to determine our preferences), but also a nice excuse to reflect back on our Scotland trip. Hard to believe it was only a few months ago… I definitely feel the pull to go back, and to travel there again.
