A Cold Walk
Liz suggested we take a walk after work today. The two of us spend a lot of time inside, sitting at our computers, and getting out and moving around a little seemed like a good idea.
In theory, it seemed like a good idea.

Liz ended up driving us closer to the lake, where we parked and walked along the shoreline. There were a handful of other people around, but it was pretty desolate – the sun was setting, and the wind was coming in off the water.

I have to say: I was not a happy camper. It was good we got out and about, but I was instantly uncomfortable and ready to go home after like 3 minutes. We trekked a few blocks north, before turning back and walking to the car.

We spotted the moon, which began to emerge as the sun faded. It was neat to see all the snow and ice along the shoreline, with the water coming in. I can only imagine just how cold it must be.
Walking was good for us both, as we definitely sit too much. But I wonder if we need to try to do our walks earlier in the day, with the benefit of the sun. Next time, I need to be a bit less grumpy.
