Demo Sprinklers
Driving around downtown, I spotted some large sprinklers and assumed they were positioned for the upcoming Chicago Marathon. On passing by them, Liz corrected me and told me they were part of the demolition process – the sprinklers being there to hold down the amount of dust generated.
She asked if I wanted her to turn the car around, so I could get some photos. I balked some and… knowing me, she turned the car around anyways. And then I got out and got some fun photos.

The area was along Elston, and was fenced off… so I had to walk a bit, to get to an area that wasn’t covered/blocked.

Sprinkler detail.

From what I could see, there was no other activity beyond the water being sprayed. I would have loved to have seen the demo process, start to finish. Now that would have been a site to behold.
