Morning Walk: Parks and Flowers

Walking around Nichols Park – spotted this funny moment. Guy on the lawn mower was taking a break, checking out his phone. Guy playing tennis also taking a break, checking out his phone as well.

Lots of park workers, cleaning up the space. And a lot of flags up, in preparation for the Fourth.

Walking around the neighborhood, spotted this large hand. Leftover from Halloween? A parade prop that someone just can’t throw away?

I guess the liked it. And liked it enough to put a ring on it.

Walking alongside an apartment building… there were some flowers along the way. I somewhat noticed them, but Liz stopped and pointed out more details that I missed.

The space by the gate, it’s not really a space for planting. It’s a sliver of space, between the concrete… and there’s a bit of soil there. Someone, Liz said, had to really work to plant all these flowers here.

I’m glad for this moment, as I was rushing along heading back home. It was nice to pause and admire both the flowers, and the loving hands that placed them there.
