New Fence Install, Day 4: Top Board, Continued

With some of the top boards under our belt, we got into a bit of a production line. I was doing 45 degree cuts on the chop saw in the driveway, and Liz was prepping the top boards with screws.

While we are still using our jigs to determine the placement of the top board, it was difficult to see where to screw in. Liz got the measurement and we used a chalk line to figure out where they go.

A board in position (jigs and clamps also displayed).

A brief pause in the work, as Liz says hello to our backyard bunny rabbit.

Made good progress, getting the rest of the top board down. We’re doing a weird adjustment thing when the fence gets next to our deck… but we sorted out that well enough.

We’ve spent a lot of time, making a really nice highway for the squirrels and neighborhood cats to use. It’s our own, real-life version of Animal Crossing I guess.
