Suddenly, Green

In Hyde Park – in addition to the regular city of Chicago police, we have police who are employed by the University of Chicago also patrolling. And in addition to that, we have various private security vehicles that tend to patrol the nearby shops and businesses.

Sometimes, they go up our street – but for the most part tend to stick to the shopping areas and parking lots nearby. But you can always tell where they are, as they use flashing green lights on the tops of the vehicles.

Going over some old photos on my phone, I found this one – which apparently captured an instant where a security car’s green light happened to illuminate the block.
