A travel day for us, heading back to the States after an incredible 17 days revisiting and exploring Scotland. We’re in Edinburgh, but need to head back to drop off our car rental, and catch a flight from Glasgow Airport.
Our hotel this time around was in downtown Glasgow, at Native. I dropped off Liz and our luggage, and left her to check in while I parked the car in a nearby garage.
On arriving, I learned that we had been upgraded – and were now in one of the suites on the top floor.
Each bottle represents a single year. What I noticed was the color change, as the years progressed. What I missed was the volume of alcohol that evaporates, year to year (also referred to as “the angels’ share”).

Our rental car for the next two weeks: it was a 20 minute drive from the airport to our B&B, but it was my first time driving overseas. I kept telling myself “Left Left Left Left” over and over, to try to remind myself to stay in the left lane.
