Brian’s Kickstarter Project: London and a Year

My friend Brian has some big plans. He’s recently been accepted to City University London and come next September he will be living abroad, pursuing an International Journalism MA. Not content with just his studies, Brian has also decided to create a book that will be the culmination of a year’s worth of photographs and observations, while overseas.

Entitled London and a Year, he’s looking for help in raising the money to make this happen. I strongly encourage you to swing by and check out his photographs, and learn a bit more about the project.

Brian is a talented guy, and absolutely meant to be a traveller and a photographer. It’s the kind of thing that’s hard-wired in people… and when you talk to Brian, you can just tell. It’s in the way his voice picks up when he talks about the places he’s been; it’s in the way his eyes light up a bit, when he talks about the places he’s planning to go.

He’s one of those rare individuals who can take great photographs and also write incredibly well. Look over his website, and you can see examples of his work – what he does with words, and what he does with light.

City University London looked through Brian’s photographs and writing, and deemed him worthy to attend their program for International Journalism. I think that, after a year’s time… he’ll walk away with a Masters and a whole new way of looking at the world.

Also in that year’s time, he’ll be working on a book filled with photographs and essays. I think it’s a worthwhile project and, in looking over his proposal, I hope you do as well.
