A Thousand Abandoned Hearts, Mostly Unbroken, Logan Square
I ended up going in a little early to work, Friday morning. Walking to the Logan Blue Line, I happened across a rainbow of colored rocks near Kedzie and Milwaukee. As I got closer, I realized they were actually candy hearts, probably left over from Valentine’s Day. And from the shape of the large pile, my thought was that perhaps it once started in the shape of a giant heart.
Detail of all the tiny hearts, frozen in place and ever so slowly melting away.
