Copeland: Ordinary
During the latest round of new releases on Rdio, I happened across a single entitled Ordinary by Copeland.
I don’t really know this group, but on hearing this song… it just kind of locked itself into my brain for the past day or so. I’ve had it on loop for a few hours each day, and there’s something about the sound of the vocals – whatever that effect is – that just is very pleasing to me.
The song to me feels like seeing someone you love, while they are asleep. There is nothing of significance happening beyond the observation, but it’s more about the plainness of the moment.
I can always tell when a song sinks its hooks into me. Guessing this’ll be on repeat for a good long while.
