Clearing the Back Basement Walls
Late last week, Liz and I tackled the back basement walls. We’ve been trying to find things that we can tackle without Bob’s help, so that we can make progress on our own when his schedule gets busier (busier than it normally is).
One thing we are focusing on is getting the back basement area prepped and ready. We’re going to be installing a new security door in back, and filling in the back half of the large hole we dug. If we can get this back area cleared and cleaned away, and the floor poured, we could technically have the back basement area done!
And that would enable us to hook up a washer and dryer. Exciting stuff, actually – as we’ve been having to go out to a laundromat or do our laundry in Frankfort (like a pair of wayward college students).
Someone dark view of the NE corner. The dryer will eventually go over here.
South wall, all cleared away.
Liz, using the shop vac to clean some of the floor joists.
