Old Playing Cards

Out first floor bathroom is a kind of weird bird: it’s a smaller half-bath, with one door connecting to the dining room… and another connecting to the basement.

While cleaning out a spot underneath the stairs, Liz happened across these two cards. It got us wondering how they ever ended up here in the first place. The stairs currently are carpeted, so this must have happened long ago.

Liz thinks that some kids, perhaps, at one point decided to just stuff these cards in between the cracks. And they fell down here for… well, for a long time.

On closer inspection, the cards seem to be from different decks.

I saw that one of the cards said “Griffith’s,” but it wasn’t until just now that I noticed the microscope. Best guess is that it came from Griffith Laboratories.
