Upcoming Event, 20×2 Chicago: What’s Next?

20×2 Chicago is back! And I’ll be joining as one of the 20 participants who will take the stage, tackling the topic “What’s Next?”
The format of the event is a really fun (and open) one: each speaker is give 2 minutes to answer the prompt. They can use whatever format they like, so long as they stay within the 2 minute timeline. In addition to just a spoken presentation, others in the past have performed: a poem, a song, created a video. Heck, one presenter even did a live video display of his double jointed arm (which drove the crowd crazy, so you know).
I’ve been incredibly moved by some talks, and laughed myself silly on others. 20×2 Chicago always has an incredibly diverse and creative mix of presenters, who each provide their own unique spin on the subject at hand.
I’m delighted to still be invited to participate, as I’ve so far been a presenter for every Chicago event. It’s actually a bit mind-boggling to me that I’ve been doing this event since the first one, way back in 2010. That’s five years! Holy crap…
If you want a sense of what the presentations are like, check these out. One of my favorite talks that I gave was when I answered the prompt “Where Are We?”, and tried to track down all the other people in the world named Felix Jung on Facebook.
And here’s a video I made for the prompt “Who Knew?”, where I answered things based on a combination of Twitter and Flickr results.
The event is on April 18th at Schuba’s. Details are on the 20×2 Chicago website, if you want more info or want to get tickets ahead of time.
