Upcoming Speaking Events: 20×2 Chicago and Bad Poetry Night

Super excited to announce that I’ll be participating again in the next
20×2 Chicago, where 20 creatives are given the same question… and only 2 minutes to answer. The prompt this time is Why Did You Stop? and looks to be a fun one.

Check out the list of speakers – a really impressive group of folks. I’m quite thrilled to be presenting at something alongside Jim Coudal, whose work and company I’ve admired from afar for many years now.

Also on the list: Matthew Hoffman, the custodian behind You Are Beautiful. I saw my first sticker in 2002, and learned Matthew was friends with Rob and Gretchen a year later. I even took Matt’s photo (sorta), before he was really publicly associated with YAB.

We even collaborated once upon a time.

Also – Doug Sohn of Hot Doug’s fame and whose work I also greatly admire, will be presenting. How cool is that!

It’s a great group of folks, and looks to be a fantastic event. Make sure to jot down the date!

A few days later, I’ll be reading at Bad Poetry Night – an event where readers share some of their worst writing. And believe you me, I’ve got a whole notebook filled with the stuff.

A green, spiral bound notebook that has an orange Queensrÿche sticker on the cover, chock full of terrible poems I wrote in high school.

Yeah. It’s gonna be awesome.
