Hitching Post, Hyde Park

Going through my archives, I found this old photo of a hitching post – located just across the street from our house. With a home that is over 100 years old, this neighborhood has been here for some time – and this post is an evidence of that earlier era.

Liz pointed this post out to me fairly recently – back in July. It’s hard to believe that we’ve lived here for some years now, and I never noticed it until Liz said something.

History is everywhere, and we just forget to look.
