Street Work Completes
These photos are a bit old, as the actual paving work happened a week or two back. But given how long all the construction had been going on… it felt right to at least document the final, finished product.
As the road was being prepped, no one could park for a few days. So it was a bit eerie waking up some mornings, walking outside, and seeing no cards at all around.
A few days later though, the roads were freshly paved… and ever so slowly, the cars started to return.
I don’t think this is all that special or captivating. But a part of me likes the idea of looking back on these photos in a decade, or two, or three. To see what things looked like at this time. Who knows how different things might become?
And maybe, if I’m lucky, and these photos still exist in some format in a hundred years… these might serve as a glimpse of what the streets looked like once upon a time.
