A Farewell Gift

On his last day at work, Sajit presented all of us some gifts at our last standup meeting. Each gift was a different Hanayama puzzle, varying a bit in difficulty.

This is about as far as I got with mine. My joke was that Sajit’s last gesture before he left was to leave all of us with a small bit of work that was impossible to finish.
Though to be fair: a few coworkers have already solved their puzzles. Me, not so much.

Back home, Liz was already hard at work clearing and cleaning up.

I suited up and joined her, focusing on removing the last bits of stubborn lathe that were at the very top (partly lodged behind the ceiling plaster).
