The Wire, Revisited

I started re-watching The Wire recently, and have mostly made my way through the first season. It started off while I was browsing for something to watch, and one episode turned into two and three, and we were off to the races. Again.
It’s crazy to think that I first saw this show over a decade ago (and I was late to the party as well). Also kind of odd that I have records of when I had re-lapse binge episodes of the show on here. But I guess that’s what the blog is for.
With yesterday’s post, I’m wondering if all of this nostalgia is due to Coronavirus. Around me wanting to surround or lose myself in familiar, predictable things. That there’s some comfort in that.
I’m much more interested in the Barksdale/Bell storylines, and the other seasons are still good… but I’m wondering if I’ll commit to continue watching through the docks and schools. Or if the first season will be enough.
